I was born into a musical family. Both of my parents play musical instruments professionally for the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra in Durban. They also have their own very popular Allegro strings entertainment enterprise, specializing in live music for weddings and functions.

I got my first violin at the age of three, and I played at my first concert at the age of five. I was a pupil at the German school in Durban, where nearly every child played an instrument and musical education was encouraged in any possible way.

During that time I started playing for weddings and functions with my mother and father as a member of their Allegro string quartet.

I attended St Mary`s DSG, Kloof, one of the top high schools in South Africa, where I was the head of the string quartet under the tutorship of my father. We became so popular that we were playing at every function at the school and were on occasion booked to perform for weddings and functions privately. In 2014 I toured Poland, Latvia and Lithuania accompanying the school choir with my violin at the World Choir Games. I have made numerous appearances as a soloist with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra and have won several awards at music competitions such as the eThekwini Eisteddfod.

Currently I am studying medicine at the University of Cape Town, but what I enjoy doing most is playing music at weddings and contributing to making it the most magical day possible.
